The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel’s majestic clock defines the city’s skyline and since the day we opened in 1902, it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train.
Your key responsibilities
Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of the location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.
As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:
- Work alongside the Night Manager and be responsible for the other Night Team Members
- Help to ensure the seamless running of the overnight Front Office
- Be the first point of contact for our guests during the night shift with the highest level of customer service
- Be responsible for creating a memorable and personalised experience for all our guests from arrival to departure
- Complete the night audit procedures, ensuring accuracy of reports for handover
- Deliver a discreet service that exceeds the exceptional standards set by The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel
- Proven experience in a front office supervisory role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment, is preferable, but not essential
- Ability to work nights and weekends
This role is from 21:00 to 07:00. Working days are Thursday to Sunday (4 days on and 3 days off)

£33,000 Expected package (£27,000 gross salary plus a qualified estimate of £6,000 in discretionary service charge)
